Legacy Tour

M and I decided to run the Legacy 5k last week. Neither of us run quickly, so to make things a little more competitive, we set time goals for ourselves. This time we missed our mark by almost 4 whole minutes (yeah, 4 whole minutes in a 5k is WAY off). Slightly saddened by our sub-par performance, we left before prizes were awarded. When I got home, I checked our official times on the race site. Imagine my surprise when I found out M got second in her age group. Not bad!

So What are You Doing These Days?

Um...

Sleeping in.
Watching Gossip Girl
Crocheting
Reading all my friends' blogs
Reading all my friends' friends' blogs
Hanging out with M&D
Water Aerobics
Oh, and yes, I'm still looking for a job.

TDF

Last year I followed the Tour fairly closely. Due to my hectic traveling schedule, I haven't followed it at all this year. I kind of miss it! For those of you who do have the time, there is still a week left, so you should check it out, and then we can chat.

Things I love: Bose Ear Phones

Thank you M&D for this fabulous gift. I can fly in some sort of comfort on account of them.

Hayley is…

My fabulous roommate N threw me a party because I am going away. All the guests had to fill out a paper which said "Hayley is…" with their own statement. Several fun ones are as follows.

If you have any to add, please leave a comment!

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike

A local bike shop lets people demo bikes at the mouth of the canyon every other Saturday, so two days ago I decided to try it out. It's great because you can ride in real conditions instead of just around a parking lot. Of the bikes I tried, my favorite was the Cannondale SystemSix.

The worker described it as "snappy." The bike felt fast and energetic and climbing was comfortable and easy. It comes stock with SRAM componentry, which is major plus in my book.
