I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike

A local bike shop lets people demo bikes at the mouth of the canyon every other Saturday, so two days ago I decided to try it out. It's great because you can ride in real conditions instead of just around a parking lot. Of the bikes I tried, my favorite was the Cannondale SystemSix.

The worker described it as "snappy." The bike felt fast and energetic and climbing was comfortable and easy. It comes stock with SRAM componentry, which is major plus in my book.

Manti Pageant

My lovely roommate and I joined the student association presidency in a trip to see the Mormon Miracle Pageant.

J, my roommie N, and me with the statue of Moroni and the Manti temple in the back.

Despite growing up relatively close to the event, I have never seen it. Ironically, I have seen the Hill Cumorah Pageant. It's sort of like I've never been to Disneyland but I've been to Disneyworld, despite living much closer to the former. But I digress . . . The actors wear TONS of makeup.

The three girls who play "Mary" throughout the show. Check out the make-up!

The pageant was enjoyable, although I must admit I almost preferred A & B performing "Newsies" on the street in front of the protesters.

A showing B the moves.

Holga Me Closer

I made a list of things I would like to do before spring term ends which included buying a Holga camera. I received the camera in the mail about a week ago and I went out last weekend to take pictures with it. These are my two favorite results.

The duck pond at my university. I've passed the duck pond on my way to and from school for years. The pond is one of the iconic representations of my collegiate experience.

This bridge is up the canyon. J went fishing here and caught a rainbow trout. I had already caught a fish, so I opted to sit on the bridge, watch as J fished, and enjoy the day.

Starbucks is good for more than just coffee

I heart Starbucks. They make great mints, which I am currently obsessed with. Try the spearmint flavor; they taste like candy.
